Moxie Auto Care & Glass Repair ("Moxie", "we", "us") runs an auto repair, glass and window tint shop at 611 Orchard Dr, Hillsboro, KS 67063. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. It covers our website, moxieautocare.com, and the calls, texts, emails and visits that come with doing business with us.
What personal information we collect
Information you give us. When you call, text, email, book an appointment, ask for a quote or bring in a vehicle, we may collect:
- Your name, mobile and other phone numbers, email address and mailing address
- Pickup and drop-off addresses, if you use our free pickup and delivery
- Vehicle details: year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage and service history
- What the vehicle is doing, plus any photos or videos you send us
- Insurance details, when you ask us to bill a glass claim to your insurer
- Payment information, when you pay for work (card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not keep full card numbers)
- Your choices about texts and emails, including when you agreed to them or opted out
Information collected when you use our website. Like most websites, our web host and security provider (Cloudflare) receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and protect it from abuse. We do not use advertising trackers or sell website data. If you use the VIN lookup on our glass pages, your browser sends the VIN to the U.S. government's free NHTSA vehicle database to decode it. Our map is provided by Google Maps.
How we use personal information
- To answer your questions and give you quotes and estimates
- To schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments, pickups and deliveries
- To do the work on your vehicle, order the right parts and keep your service history
- To send updates about your repair, ask for your approval on work, and tell you when your vehicle is ready
- To bill you or your insurer, process payments and honor warranties
- To send service reminders and, only if you have agreed, occasional offers
- To keep our website and business secure, and to meet legal and tax obligations
Who we share personal information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you:
- Service providers that work for us, such as our shop management and scheduling software, our texting and phone provider, our email provider, our payment processor and our web host. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Parts suppliers and warranty partners, such as NAPA, when we order parts for your vehicle or process a warranty claim. We share only the vehicle and job details they need.
- Your insurance company, when you ask us to bill a claim.
- Others when the law requires it, for example to respond to a court order, or to protect the safety of our customers, staff or business.
Text messages (SMS)
SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that support our services, such as our texting provider, is permitted only to deliver our messages to you. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep information
We keep customer and vehicle records for as long as you are a customer and as long as we need them for warranties, tax and legal records. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure (encrypted) connections on our website and access limits in our shop systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and fix problems quickly.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or tell us at the counter.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or ask us to stop.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by calling (620) 416-0008 or emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep some records the law requires.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
